VSL PODS x6 Simulator

The VSL PODS x6 was originally conceived as a sophisticated motion simulation system designed for military training. The vision was to install sets of pods in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch, allowing military personnel to conduct joint driving exercises. These simulations could range from jeeps to tanks, enabling users in different cities to train together in a coordinated, virtual battlefield environment.

The Holden VT Supercar Simulator

The VSL004 was a black Holden VT supercar simulator designed by VSL. It was intended to be a mobile unit, capable of being transported around the country, but instead spent most of its life stationed at a mini putt in Rotorua.

VSL005 HOLDEN SUPERCAR

VTL015 Simulator The VTL015 simulator is a noteworthy project with an interesting backstory. The journey began when I was approached by a person who offered the body of a VT Holden, which he had designed spoilers for. This generous offer led us to acquire the VT Holden body for our simulator.

The Holden VT ex-police car was transformed into a supercar simulator, designed and built in New Zealand before being exported to Australia. This unique simulator was black from top to toe, giving it a sleek and imposing appearance.

VSL 006 Ford Simulator

The VSL 006, affectionately known as “Bumblebee,” represents a standout achievement in our simulator lineup. Built from an ex-police Falcon acquired from Wellington, this simulator initially featured DeWalt as its sponsor for a high-profile two-week campaign. Following this, it became a flagship for Hydrolink, proudly displaying their logo for seven and a half years.

The First Supercar Simulator by VSL

VSL003 was the first V8 supercar simulator built by VSL. It was a Falcon V8, bought as a wreck and developed while working at Livestock Improvement in Palmerston North. Built in their spare time, the team put the wrecked car onto a trailer, turning it into a fully functional motion simulator with sound and video.
